Atkins Search are recruiting for a Social Value / CSR Coordinator to join our client, a well-established and highly respected construction contractor based in Kegworth, Derbyshire.

Role
As a Social Value / CSR Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on social value and CSR activities across the business. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure that social value is embedded within contract and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Social Value
- Design and deliver project Social Value Delivery Plans, continuously monitoring progress.
- Chair social value delivery meetings with clients to identify issues and solutions.
- Work with commercial and operational teams to embed social value into contract and project delivery.
- Engage with the supply chain, advising on social value requirements.
- Research, identify, develop, and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including schools, colleges, universities, community organisations, employment and skills agencies, and local authorities.
- Deliver presentations and workshops as required.
- Manage social value portals efficiently.
- Provide timely reporting to clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
CSR Coordination
- Represent the company at corporate events, including recruitment fairs, industry events, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate company CSR activities, supporting employee volunteering, donations, onboarding, wellbeing, and training.
- Manage Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) registration and delivery, ensuring a high standard across all sites.
- Liaise with Site Managers to ensure adherence to CSR and CCS best practices.
- Organise and deliver CCS activities and donations.
- Distribute quarterly CCS newsletters to local communities.
- Complete self-assessments on the CCS portal and attend audits.
- Stay updated on industry innovations and best practices in CSR and social value.
Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social value or CSR role within the construction or civil engineering industries.
- Experience in developing and implementing social value delivery plans and working with external partners.
- Experience engaging with educational establishments regarding careers in construction.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and management skills.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship management skills.
- Strong literacy skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Confidence in presenting and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of social value monitoring frameworks (e.g., TOMs) is desirable.
