Senior Structural Engineer

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an engineering consultancy based in Sheffield. They are open to candidates who have experience at Senior level, or a candidate who is looking to take the next step in their career.

As a Senior Structural Engineer in this business, you will be joining a team of enthusiastic professionals and taking the lead on a wide variety of exciting projects. These projects will include residential, student accommodation, industrial, education, heavy civils and commercial schemes across the UK.

The business offers a wide range of services to their clients including foundation design, retaining structures, shell structures, redevelopment of existing structures, heritage structural design working with listed buildings, temporary works and superstructure design. Joining this team will allow you to have variety in your work and expand your professional knowledge.

• Work closely and effectively with other teams in the business (civil, geotechnical and geoenvironmental).
• Guide and mentor the junior members of the team.
• Effectively take the lead on structural aspects of a variety of projects.
• Producing accurate structural calculations.
• Report writing.
• Preparing design quotes.
• Client Liaison.
• Supervising, checking and signing off work.

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Structural Engineer or working towards chartership.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Structural Engineer level.
• Able to reliably commute to the office in Sheffield.
• Personable and comfortable working at the forefront of a dynamic team.

£45,000-£55,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package including –
