Senior Quantity Surveyor

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor vacancy to join a reputable construction main contractor based in Nottingham.

Our client is a leading construction main contractor, operating across the region to deliver varied and dynamic projects across the education, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors across the public and private sectors, with values between £1m to £30m.

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Supported by Quantity Surveyors, you will be tasked with the commercial responsibility of overseeing multiple, diverse projects throughout the region.

Current and ongoing schemes will be around the £20m level across the public and private sectors, so a background of working for a principal main contractor on projects of this type and size would be a requirement.

• Collate and present monthly project reports to report to Senior team
• Update all costs across projects on a regular basis
• Assist the team with commercial and contractual expertise
• Assembling of costs for forecasting in line with site budgets
• Supporting junior members of the commercial team

• Excellent man management skills
• Strong and capable communicator at all levels
• Contractually excellent - JCT and NEC
• Variety of project and sector knowledge
• Well networked with sub-contractors in the region
• Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chains and team member
• Capable of delivering projects on time and to budget
