Senior Planner

Atkins Search have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Construction Planner to join a Derby based UK leading, respected Tier 1 main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors.

As a Senior Construction Planner, you will play a crucial role in project delivery, working closely with pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure efficient programming and sequencing of works. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes, providing strategic planning advice, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.

• Develop and maintain project programmes and prelims from tender stage through to completion
• Attend client meetings to presents plans and programmes of work
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure realistic and achievable schedules
• Conduct regular programme reviews and updates, identifying risks and mitigation strategies
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Utilise industry-standard planning software (Asta Powerproject) to produce detailed schedules and reports
• Support bid teams with tender planning and methodology proposals

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Planner within a main contractor environment, tendering and delivering major D&B projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and best practices
• Proficiency in Asta Powerproject o
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
