Senior Civil Engineer

Atkins Search are working with a market leading engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to join their design team. As a Senior Civil Engineer working with this esteemed consultancy, you will be playing a key role in complex design projects within the power and industrial sectors.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be expected to have a solid background in delivering civil design projects, ideally within the power or industrial sector, and be looking for a position that allows you to realise your career potential. They are keen to speak with Chartered (or working towards) Engineers who are interested in furthering their careers in the coming years.

You will be working with colleagues that have a varied level of experience, with some junior staff looking to you for guidance on the more complex projects. As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be expected to have a good knowledge of working with current National Design Standards, designing of steel & concrete structures to BSEN 1990-1999.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, the following will be expected of you.

• Take a leading role in civil engineering design projects within the power and industrial sectors.
• Offer guidance to junior members of the team.
• Be willing to consistently further your professional knowledge and develop your skills.
• Independently check calculations and drawings.
• Produce accurate calculations using TEDDS software.
• Liaise with clients and build excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.

• Excellent communicator at all levels.
• Project management skills.
• Able to show critical thinking ability.
• Dedicated professional who seeks to represent the business in a positive light.

Software experience –

• 2D and 3D CAD packages
• TEDDS
• TSD

For this exciting position you can expect a competitive starting salary of circa £50,000 to £65,000 plus a range of benefits including the below.
