Atkins Search are recruiting for an ambitious Senior CDM Consultant to lead and shape a diverse range of projects throughout the London & Southern region for a market-leading Construction Consultancy.

Established over 60 years ago, my client provides a variety of services to national and international clients across a multitude of industry sectors. With a collaborative culture founded on mutual respect and trust, they are dedicated to their people, partners and clients.
Based in London, they are a reputable Construction Consultancy with highly experienced teams working on a wide variety of schemes as part of a multi-disciplinary practice and deliver Principal Designer and CDM services for a growing list of clients.
ROLE
As Senior CDM Consultant, you will be able to add real value and impact within a London-based Construction Consultancy. A huge part of the role is delivering services to clients with the help of your expert knowledge. As Senior CDM Consultant, you will be contributing to business development, ultimately being the driving force in helping move the discipline forward within the industry.
Within this Senior CDM Consultant role, you will be in full control and have ownership over your projects, providing you with a great level of autonomy. You’ll become part of a growing, established and trusted Construction Consultancy with an excellent reputation in the industry for client care and quality with a diverse range of industry experts for you to collaborate with and learn from.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As Senior CDM Consultant, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Managing the role of Principal Designer / Principal Designer Adviser & CDM Adviser under the CDM Regulations.
- Manage and ensure the delivery of Health and Safety Consulting team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
- Providing wider Health & Safety consultancy services to clients.
- Preparation of fee proposals – attendance at Client presentations if required.
- Be a primary interface with clients (new and existing).
- Provide full Health & Safety consultancy duties to clients.
PERSON
Our ideal Senior CDM Consultant must have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
- Practical experience in managing or providing dedicated CDM / H&S advisor services/role
- Experience in either construction site safety or design (Architecture, Engineering, Surveying etc.)
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety preferred (or equivalent)
It would be nice for you to have:
- Professional qualification in a construction, engineering, building surveying or building services discipline
- Recognised membership of a proven Health & Safety organisation
- An excellent self-motivated, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic attitude
- Achieved/Working Towards: NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5. Design / Construction Degree
