Role
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will help to implement and deliver the business’ growth strategy, focusing on expanding the current client base, cultivating strong relationships with both new and existing clients, and uncovering new business opportunities across all sectors.
Working as part of an established team, you will utilise your network and experience to maintain and develop relationships and implement strategies to compliment growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Generate and execute a strategic business development plan in line with the company’s sales plan to meet agreed targets
- Individual target achievement to contribute towards the overall team target to meet the growth forecast
- Establish a 12-to-24-month pipeline of opportunities
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the end user market
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers with organisations, property developers, project managers, employer’s agents, architects and designers and other potential clients
- Lead negotiations and manage opportunities, ensuring the client needs align with services and ambitions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional client satisfaction
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform and refine business strategies
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and relevant exhibitions and conferences
- Create, manage, analyse and communicate data including gap analysis to enable effective management of the business
Person
The ideal candidate for the Senior Business Development Manager job will have a proven track record as a Business Development Manager in a construction fit-out and refurbishment contracting environment.
- Deep understanding of the construction, fit-out and refurbishment market, including client needs, industry standards, and market trends
- Positive, enthusiastic able to operate comfortably both independently and as an integral part of a team
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple objectives and priorities to meet established targets
- A well-established network of contacts across a broad range of markets such as commercial, education, health, sport, leisure, light industrial is highly desirable
