Quantity Surveyor

Atkins Search have an opening for a Cambridgeshire based Quantity Surveyor to join one of the region’s best known and best performing contractors in the region. Delivering quality projects across varying sectors with initial schemes in central Cambridge.

• As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of various projects across various sectors including Education, Care, hospitality, Leisure and MOD.
• Working alongside an established Commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the scheme is delivered on-time and to budget.

• As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely commercial reports, supporting junior members of your team and ensuring the project hits the appropriate financial targets.
• Ensure accurate and robust management of Subcontractors
• Procurement of Subcontractor packages
• Prepare Payment Applications and ensuring cash flow targets are met
• Provide key support to the Project Managers and Operational Teams
• Conduct profit and loss reporting, providing analysis to the Commercial manager

• The ideal candidate will have experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor working in a new build environment.
• You will be operating autonomously whilst keeping connecting with the wider business, to assume commercial responsibility for your project.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification
• Excellent JCT and NEC knowledge
• Experience working for a construction main contractor
• Proven track record delivering D&B schemes
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to operate autonomously and as part of wider teams across the business
