Based in Birmingham, our esteemed and well-established client offers national coverage delivering Quantity Surveying & Project Management services from scheme inception through to completion.

Known for their long-lasting relationships with highly reputable brands and industry leaders, our client has decades of experience in delivering quality-driven projects within the hospitality, leisure, industrial, residential, commercial and refurbishment sectors.

Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering enthralling projects with a hands-on approach throughout the whole project life cycle from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client's requirements.

In addition, the Project Manager will benefit from a collaborative working approach, sharing resources and expertise with the neighbouring regions and offices, sharing a vision to work together and create a varied workload working with highly reputable clients, brands & sector leaders.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Manage construction projects (depending on size and complexity) from inception to completion with full support from Senior Management
  • Ensure all projects are delivered within budget, on time and to the client's requirements with regular site visits and inspections
  • Efficiently manage multi-disciplined project teams which include architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors in a collaborative manner
  • Develop project management strategies including planning, programming, scheduling to monitor project progress
  • Identify and alleviate any risks and challenges, create and implement contingency plans to mitigate any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor project budgets and track expenditures using cost control measures throughout the whole project lifecycle
  • Maintain, network and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams and supply chain to provide an exceptional level of service
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, any relevant legal and industry standards and contractual agreements

Person

The ideal Project Manager candidate must be able to portray the following:

  • Construction related degree (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager in Consultancy, Client Side or Hospitality-focused environment – ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of standard construction project management processes and documentation through all RIBA stages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages
  • JCT and/or NEC Contract experience
