Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy based in Manchester to deliver prestigious projects on a national basis.

Please note that students who are par way through their degree apprenticeship/ degree will also be considered for this role.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work within a wide variety of sectors including residential, education, leisure, mixed-use developments, community, commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, etc.

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be offered an opportunity to work closely alongside Senior and Associate Quantity Surveyors across the full project life cycle, assisting from a commercial point of view from RIBA stages 0-7.

Some responsibilities you will be required to get involved in are:

• Assisting in providing Cost Management services from inception to completion
• Cost planning
• Cost management
• Value engineering
• Tender management
• Financial reporting
• Budget management
• Employers agent
• Valuations

To be successful in application for this role, the ideal candidate will hold a degree level qualification related to construction or be in the latter years of their degree apprenticeship, ideally have experience working within a consultancy, some Quantity Surveying experience, and have excellent communication skills.
