Graduate Civil Engineer

Atkins Search are working with a Nottingham based engineering consultancy to appoint a Graduate Civil Engineer to the team.

Our client is a specialist consultancy who work across highway and drainage design projects for a range of sectors. Due to business growth and new project wins they are keen to hire a Graduate Civil Engineer wanting to enhance their skills and develop with the business.

They have become a respected name in the industry and trusted by their clients to deliver a high quality of work, leading to repeat business from many of these.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be working closely with Senior Engineers within the business working in the design team for a variety of highways and drainage projects. You will be given the opportunity to work independently and develop your skills, as well as working closely with the team to gain valuable insight into their work.

They are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer who is keen to progress their career and is looking for a long term career opportunity where they can develop their technical knowledge and ability.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, the following will be expected of you.

• You will produce (with some guidance) basic design solutions when provided with constraints.
• Working with a good degree of autonomy and minimal guidance in relation to design updates, drafting and detailing.
• Responding to projectbased queries by telephone or other means, then reporting to others in the team.
• You will need to demonstrate a logical analytical approach to problem solving.
• Work closely with Senior Members of the team.

• Enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer keen to learn from senior members of the business.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• Ideally having some working knowledge of Civils 3D and MicroDrainage software (non essential).
• You will need a logical, analytical approach to problem solving Computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel.
• A strong communicator, both in written English and verbally, in person and on the telephone.

Competitive salary of £24,000-£30,000 plus competitive benefits package.
