This particular role has the scope for the successful candidate to progress into the Operations Manager that will oversee the whole electrical department and team in the business.

Role
As the Electrical Contracts Manager, you will manage anywhere between 4-5 projects at one given time which include electrical installations whilst managing a team of Site Supervisors, Electricians, and working alongside a Quantity Surveyor and Operations Controller to ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines and budgets on behalf of local authority, framework lead and private sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out surveys, carrying out electrical designs and providing estimates
- Taking over customer accounts as relationships and knowledge develop
- You will be involved in all parts of the construction managerial process, overseeing projects from pre-construction to completion
- Health & Safety - preparation of RAMS and monitoring site H&S
- Pre-installation design
- Managing site installation teams.
- Overseeing testing and inspection of installations
- Delivering projects on time & budget
- Calculating costs for variations and negotiating with customers
- Manage multiple projects concurrently with a hands-on and positive approach
- Liaise directly with the project team, tenants, and client on a regular basis to ensure full transparency and project updates
Person
The ideal candidate for the Electrical Contracts Manager job will have a proven track record as an Electrical Contracts Manager in a facilities management/social housing environment, delivering similar projects. You will also need to be proactive, positive, and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a team.
