Building Surveyor

Atkins Search are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join a highly reputable and successful multi-discipline Construction Consultancy based in Nottingham, offering flexible and hybrid working.

As Building Surveyor, you will have the option to work across a variety of sectors across the Midlands, including healthcare, residential, retail, education, leisure, mixed-use developments, commercial, heritage and conservation.

You will have wide ranging responsibilities including condition surveys, preparing schedule of works, specifications, project management, contract administration, and much more!

• Undertaking on-site property surveys
• Producing detailed reports and recommendations
• Identifying defects and advising on remedial works
• Offering advice on proposed alterations, improvements and extensions
• Preparing budgets and schedules
• Advising on environmental and safety issues
• Meeting with clients and contractors to oversee progress
• Offering advice in relation to legal and planning issues

The ideal candidate for the Building Surveying role, will have:

• Construction related Degree in Building Surveying, Project Management, etc
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in professional Building Surveying or Project Management
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Able to work autonomously and within a team
• Proficient user of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages
• Full UK driving licence
