Role
We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Senior Leadership team to help drive our Construction Consultancy offering across London and the Southern regions. You will be responsible for driving our offering in the consultancy sectors across the region, utilising our well established and developing client base in the area to meet the business needs and financial goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Leading your Team: You will be responsible for leading and managing your team, to include setting and delivering financial budgets and operational goals, achieving the business expectations, recruiting training and retaining new team members, providing guidance and support to the wider business.
- Setting and implementing strategies: You will help to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the organisation’s goals and objectives. This will involve working with other members of the leadership team and conducting research to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Overseeing operations: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, including managing budgets, coordinating projects and activities, and ensuring that the organization is running efficiently and effectively.
- Building relationships: Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including clients, candidates and Atkins Search employees. This will involve networking, negotiating contracts, and representing the organization at events and meetings.
- Ensuring compliance: Responsible for ensuring that the organization is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to health and safety, diversity and inclusion, and financial reporting.
- Making decisions: Responsible for making important decisions that affect the organization, such as allocating resources or determining the best course of action to achieve goals and objectives.
- Providing leadership: You are expected to be a leader and role model within the organization, setting an example for others to follow and inspiring others to achieve their best work.
Associate Director Skills:
- Leadership: You will be a leader within Atkins Search and should be able to inspire and motivate others to achieve their best work. You will need to have strong leadership skills, including the ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, provide guidance and support, and set clear goals and expectations.
- Management: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization with strong management skills, including the ability to budget, plan, and coordinate projects and activities. You should also have strong problem-solving skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively, speak clearly, and write persuasively. You should be able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including employees, clients, partners, and vendors.
- Strategic thinking: You are expected to be a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and challenges, develop and implement plans to achieve goals and objectives, and make decisions that positively affect the organization.
- Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and represent the organization at events and meetings.
- Adaptability: Be able to adapt to change and handle unexpected challenges, including the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions when necessary.
- Problem-solving: Be able to identify and solve problems effectively, including the ability to analyse information and come up with creative solutions.
