World Mental Health Day 2024

World Mental Health Day is an annual awareness day observed each year on the 10th October and provides a stage to raise awareness on the importance of mental health year round. The theme for 2024 is ‘Prioritising Mental Health in the Workplace’.

At Atkins Search, we believe that supporting our team’s mental health is just as important as their professional growth. We know that a healthy mind is key to maintaining happiness and productivity – both in and outside of work. We ensure our team feel supported by:

Open Conversations: We foster a culture where speaking up about mental health is encouraged and welcomed. No stigma, just support.

Mental Health First Aiders: Our trained Mental Health First Aiders provide a confidential ear and guidance, helping team members find the resources they need, whenever they need them.

Flexible Working Arrangements: Life happens and we understand that balancing work with personal life is essential for well-being. We offer flexible working options to help our people maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Wellbeing Initiatives: From wellbeing days to mindfulness challenges and encourage company-wide healthy habits, we invest in activities that help our team de-stress and recharge to be the best version of themselves each and every day.

In addition to the above, we have partnered with Tough To Talk who provide training to organisations on how to better understand mental health and its importance, predominately within the workplace. Their Tough Training workshops are a catalyst for change focusing specifically on male environments.

World Mental Health Day offers the chance to unite people into an open discussion regarding mental health and why it is vital to look after your mental health. Use today to spark up a conversation with someone close to you, and if you feel like becoming a Tough Talker, reach out to Tough To Talk to see how their training sessions can help you prioritise mental health in your workplace!
