Atkins Search are celebrating Nicole’s 3-year anniversary!
Nicole joined Atkins Search back in 2022 and has played an instrumental part in driving our wider permanent team and maintaining our culture and values. She specialises in placing Construction professionals into reputable Consultancies across the East Midlands, West Midlands and Southern Regions.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Nic, her hard work, commitment, and passion have been vital to our success and we’re truly grateful to have you as part of our team.
We asked Nicole for her reflection on the previous 3 years working with Atkins Search, here’s what she had to say:
“Three years ago today, I arrived at a peculiar loft in Strelley Hall wondering what would await me in my new role at Atkins Search. As “Employee Number 6”, I really wasn’t sure what to expect walking into a smaller business, but I’m proud to say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I was instantly made to feel welcome and part of the team, and my only regret was not joining sooner!
Atkins Search has provided me with an immense opportunity that has no limitations and has helped me to grow into someone I didn’t know I could be. I feel unrecognisable to the person who walked into that Atkins Search loft three years ago, and I’m over the moon with how I’ve developed both personally and professionally.
Within this time, I have been promoted, attended industry leading networking events, completed various training & development courses, delivered internal workshops, mentored others, learned new industry sectors & disciplines, established relationships with amazing clients, and have had what I feel is a rare opportunity to become more than an employee. I feel valued, I feel empowered, and I feel like I’ve found my forever work home.
Work doesn’t feel like work if you love what you do, and I’m grateful to work alongside likeminded and genuine professionals (and absolute legends) who share a common passion, purpose & meaning for the service we provide as a business. I’ve never met a bigger bunch of grafters; the team here work hard because they want to, not because they have to, and I absolutely love being a part of it.
Also – the social connectivity (and banter) we have is truly something to behold. Whether it’s Battle of the Barry’s, Trent Bridge Networking, Christmas Quiz, Bingo, Alton Towers, Football, Dublin, London, Race Days, The Cornmill, Escape Rooms – it doesn’t matter what we do, we do it together, and we have a laugh whilst doing it!
A huge thank you to Laura, Antony, and the whole Atkins Search family for your endless support, guidance, and investment. I’ve had the best year I’ve ever had in my career and have achieved more than I thought I ever could – all of which wouldn’t have been possible without you guys.
